If you're not fimilar with web hosting or the internet you most likely wont know what the features we offer are. That is why we have put together this page to explain each of our main features in detail.
Disk Space (Storage Space)
The amount of included space on the servers harddrive where you can store your files. 1GB of storage will hold thousands of images or webpages.
Bandwidth (Data Transfer)
Every time someone visits your website data is transferred. The data includes images, files, page data and everything else you see when you view a website. The average website will never come close to the amount of bandwidth we provide on each package.
Monthly Price
SharkSpace accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discovery, etc.).
Guaranteed Ram
Your VPS will be guaranteed this much server Ram (memory). Ram definition: random-access memoryis used by programs to perform necessary tasks while the server is on.
Server CPU
The amount of server CPU you can use. CPU definition: Stands for Central Processing Unit, a programmable logic device that performs all the instruction, logic, and mathematical processing in a computer.
Dedicated IP Addresses
Dedicated IP addresses can be used for SSL certificates, private name servers, SEO reason, etc.

OpenVZ Technology
OpenVZ is an Operating System-level server virtualization solution, built on Linux. OpenVZ creates isolated, secure virtual environments — VEs (otherwise known as virtual private servers, or VPSs) on a single physical server enabling better server utilization and ensuring that applications do not conflict. Each VE performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone server; VEs can be rebooted independently and have root access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries and configuration files.

Servers
SharkSpace only uses top quality, powerful servers. SharkSpace currently uses at least Dual Processor Quad-Core servers (8 total cores) with at least 8 GB of ram on a RAID 10 storage array. Our servers are not only powerful, but they are lightly loaded allowing for extremely fast page loading times and excellent uptime.
Private Name Servers
SharkSpace allows you to use your own private domain name servers. An example of a private name server would be: ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com

Ready to use VPS
SharkSpace goes the extra mile to provide you with a VPS that
is ready to use.
The extra things SharkSpace does before you even access your
VPS:
Security:
1) Set recommended security settings (disable anonymous FTP, disable compilers, etc.)
2) Install Mod_security
3) Set Cpanel and WHM security settings
4) Set the SSH port to a non standard number (details in welcome
email)
Configuration and upgrades:
1) We configure and upgrade apache to the latest Apache 2.2 version
2) We configure (install all major php modules so your scripts function) and upgrade php to the latest PHP 5 version
3) We configure and upgrade Mysql to the latest Mysql 5 version
3) Install Zend Optimizer and IonCube
4) Configure Cpanel and WHM update settings for nightly updates
5) Secure and optimize FTP and Exim (install dovecot for increase performance)
6) Install Cpanel & WHM
The only changes you will need to make is to add your private
name servers (guide is in the welcome email). Then you can start
adding your accounts.
Raid-10 File Storage and Data Protection
Raid-10 creates multiple mirrors, where data is organized as stripes across multiple disks and then the striped disk sets are mirrored. In total Raid-10 uses four harddrives; when one drive fails the others will take over and your sites will remain online. Raid 10 allows for harddrive hotswaps so we can replace a harddrive at anytime without having to reboot or shutdown the server.
R1Soft Daily Backups
R1soft is the leading backup software (R1soft website). R1soft backups up the entire VPS node without creating any server load related issues. SharkSpace keeps 2 restore points from the previous 2 days.
Burst Ram
Burst ram is available when you use your total amount of guaranteed ram. Burst ram is intended for temporary use during your peak operating periods.
